Favorite Flickr Friday

Today we are starting the first of a few regular features: Favorite Flickr Friday.  Hopefully you all have joined the DC Modern Flickr group, but if you haven't go, do it now.  I can wait.  Adding a picture to the group's pool grants permission for the picture to be featured on the blog (with attribution!).  Once a week I will pick a picture (or few) that stand out and I will post with links to your blog or flickr.  Good?

So this week, I am featuring this quilt from Katie who blogs at Swim, Bike, Quilt.  I'm sure you've all gotten emails from her, right?  Well, she's super.  Any way, I saw this quilt in person at a DC Modern meeting a few months ago and developed an embarrassing crush on it.  Now that it's bound, I kind of love it more.

Now click on over and read about Katie's Spring Candy Quilt.  When you are done with that, add your pictures to the pool!  We want to see what a talented group of ladies (and gentlemen?) we've got representing DC Modern!  And don't forget our next meeting on April 28 at 11 a.m.  We will meet at Teaism in Penn Quarter.  We are going to be getting organized!  We'll talk about by-laws (which you can review on this site), scheduling, elections, and nominations for the 2012 year.  So that we aren't al business, bring something to show and tell!

See you soon, and get adding to the flickr pool!

  1. Wow thanks for posting me on the first Friday Favorites from Flickr. I haven't posted many of my blocks for the English paper piecing ROSE STAR quilt. I began in Jan. and thought it isn't very modern so didn't belong in your group on flickr.
I would love to come meet the group this month but Saturday April 28th I am in a show called "Art in the Burg" Middleburg, Virginia. Hopefully I can come in May! My blog where I post about my quilting, sketching, bookbinding and garden is called Orange Explains It All > http://orangeexplainsitall.blogspot.com/ <
