Quilters Unlimited Show this weekend...

Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely 90+ weather. Ha!

Amy sent me a reminder that this weekend is the QU Show out at the Dulles Expo Center.  If you have been and have any advice, please leave a comment. I know the show tends to be a bit more traditional than what some of us are used to--a list of vendors is here.  I think that as a guild, it would be fun to enter quilts in the show next year. You never know what might happen!

Here is a list of demonstrations straight from the QU website:

Learn something new – or share your talents! Join us for hands-on demonstrations of sewing and quilting by hand: piecing, applique, English paper piecing, quilting, and block layouts, all without your machine. You can also check out wall displays of the different steps in putting a quilt together and catch some video about some of the quilts from the Smithsonian National Quilt Collection.
Demonstration Schedule:
Hand Piecing Friday, June 1 10 – 12
Hand Applique Friday, June 1 2 – 4
English Paper Piecing Saturday, June 2 10 - 12
Hand Quilting Saturday, June 2 2 – 4
Block Layout Sunday, June 3 10 - 12

  1. In my flickr, (sorry it is so not organized enough for a good link) I have QU show photos for the past several years. While it is not Mod, mod, Mod, there is generally a mod piece here & there. Like this one:
