Friday Flickr Favorites

Love this Dreamcatcher quilt by Jamie Lee of Busy Bee Quilts!  I read on her blog that the use of the darker greys in the bottom right was a happy accident, caused by running out of fabric.  That shading is my favorite part of the quilt!  It's so wonderful what running out of fabric can cause us to dream up.

Remember today is the last day to purchase discounted tickets for tomorrow's lectures by Katie Blakesley and Laura Gunn (I hear that Katie and Laura will be working together for part of the presentation; so much fun!)  The cost today is $7 for members and $12 for non-members.  Tomorrow at the door the price will be $15.  Non-members may purchase their tickets here, members should look for an email from dcmqgtreasurer@gmail.com from March 2nd for the link to the member ticket.  See you there!

  1. Oh how sweet of you to put it on here!!! I had so much fun yesterday and hopefully recruited some new members for the guild. Going to try to make it to more meetings this year. Thank you to everyone for submitting and sharing their quilts in the exhibit and everyone who organized the guest speakers and Frederick for starting it all. It was an awesome day!

  2. So sad I missed last week's event. Is the "sewing party" on the 22nd what it sounds like - an open sewing day? Hoping to make it.
