Melinda? According to her caption, she used an impressive amount of techniques to make this block for her Ringo Pie Bee: paper piecing, improv curves, freezer paper curve, machine appliqué, hand appliqué, and hand carved stamps. The wood grain fabric and red flower print were perfect for this. The hard work definitely paid off.
I am taking over Friday Flickr Favorites from Jessie until such time as her baby is born (not yet) and she's ready to return from "maternity leave." This new-found power was almost too much for me, as I seriously considered some self-promotion instead of looking over the other contributions with an unbiased eye.
