Spots left for Mary Fons Workshop

There are still spots left for this Saturday's workshop with Mary Fons.  As of this writing, we have 6 machine slots and 8 observation slots left.  I will leave a comment on this post when it is full.  Until then, refer to the email and google doc link sent to you last week if you want to attend the workshop.

To review, here is the information about the Mary Fons workshop that was posted last week.

On May 2nd, we are lucky to have Mary Fons teaching paper pieced log cabin blocks.  This is the first time that she's teaching this class so she'll be looking for feedback.  Mary will be teaching at Capital Quilts from 11-1:30 with 14 machine slots and 10 observation slots.  The guild will be charging $20 for the machine spaces and $10 for the observation spaces.  Sign ups will be first come, first served.

Here is a picture of my recent log cabin block made by paper piecing.  This is my template, not Mary's, but I'd be happy to share it with anyone in the guild that wants it.  Paper piecing allows for crisp edges, no distortion, clean joining with other blocks and I love it for using narrow strips in my scraps.

Remember that the open meeting this Saturday at Capital Quilts starts at 1:30.  See you there!
