Announcements

So far, we haven't had anyone volunteer to be on the board for the guild in 2016.  So the current board came up with this little gem:

The top ten reasons why you should volunteer for the board...
drum roll please....

10. You get to Skype with your fellow board members regularly, in your PJs if you like..
9.   You get to make new BFFs with all of your favorite quilting celebrities - who is coming next year?
8.   Don't like something? Change it!

7.   Access to educational and inspiring national MQG leadership materials/webinars on the MQG website.
6.   You will get to sneak around at meetings and take pictures.
5.   You get to learn cool things about by-laws and insurance.
4.   Strut your writing style with entertaining, informative blog posts.

3.   You get to help shape the future direction of the guild.
2.   You can request that people call you Madam (or Mr.) President (or Vice President, Treasurer or Secretary).  Either way, you'll sound fancypants.

and the number one reason why you should volunteer for the board...
1.   We can't do it without you!

Refer to this post for position details and ask Alyson any questions you have at alyson@hastyquilter.net.
