Call for Entries Quilt Show

DCMQG & Costume Lab Exhibit 2018
DCMQG and the Arlington Arts CostumeLab will collaborate to host a quilt exhibit from January 8th - March 27, 2018 in Gallery 3700 at the Arlington Arts Center in Shirlington, VA.
This year there is a theme and a size requirement for quilt entries. DCMQG members chose "Local Architecture" for the theme which is up to interpretation by the maker - what does local architecture means to you? Eligible quilts will be 24"x 24" in size. Our hope is to create a cohesive exhibit while providing a canvas that is big enough to showcase different techniques, yet small enough to complete in the time frame we have.
The deadline for submissions is November 19th. Please note we will accept pictures of finished quilt tops at the Nov. deadline. Completed quilts (quilted, bound with corner "sleeves") must be completed by mid-December when quilts will be collected. There is a maximum of two entries per member and a link for submissions, including photos, will be made available to members on November 1, 2017. The selection panel will consist of three impartial judges.
We will have a reception in the afternoon on Saturday March 3rd to celebrate all of the contributions and National Quilting Month. A special workshop hosted by the Costume Lab is also in the works and offered exclusively to DCMQG members.
