Hi everyone! It's Katie. I hope you are enjoying (?) this dreadfully hot summer weather. I hope that you have heard about 100 Quilts for Kids, and plan to participate by making and donating at least one charity quilt before October 15. Each year, we donate quilts as a guild--you are also invited to donate to the organization of your choice if you would prefer. Lexi is looking into donating as a guild to a pregnancy center in the Capitol Hill area--in the past we have donated to the Alexandria City Office on Women (for foster care and domestic violence shelter) and the Healthy Babies Project in DC
Fun stuff for 100 Quilts this year--and please let me know if you want to help with something! And I'd love to have you grab a button for your blog. [Copy and paste the text in the grab box below onto your side bar or a blog post]

Love this quilt back by Dana. Perhaps if I had made my daughter's Red Letter Day quilt with such a cool back, she might have actually SLEPT!
Stephanie is finishing up this great WIP-look forward to seeing the finish.
Heather finished her Swoon quilt! click on the photo for more pictures
as always, we would love to see your pictures in the DC Modern Flickr pool
