Sewing Day this Saturday, Jan 19th!

This month's meeting will be held at the Westover Library in Arlington, VA from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm.  12 sewers have signed up and bought the pattern "Pockets to Go" in order to make a sewing caddy to hold their sewing notions.   If you are not signed up for this, come meet with us and work on your own project.  (or Linda still has 2 patterns available for purchase!  Send an email to DCmodquilts at gmail dot com if you are interested!)

Linda's new caddy in progress

Sewing caddy participants should bring:
-Your sewing machine and usual accessories including zipper foot.
-Fabric, thread to match, zippers – we strongly suggest that you cut out your pieces
and label them beforehand.
-Marking pencil or marker that will show up on your fabrics.
-Hand sewing needle to sew on binding.
-You can substitute webbing for the fabric handles if you wish. The handle size of
2½” X 8 ½ ” is okay but change this to 11 ½” if you haven’t cut these out yet.
-Try to be there at the beginning of the meeting.

Provided:
-You will receive the pattern you have paid for.
-Peltec.
-black zippers and webbing if you desire.

Look in the Flickr group for some pictures for inspiration and add your own of the
fabric you are planning on using.
Aubrie's had her fabric cut out for weeks!  Time for the rest of us to get down to business!
See you then!
