May Meeting Recap

Oh, this meeting was really lovely...
Because we were worried about space concerns, most of us brought hand projects to our meeting at Capital Quilts.  Which meant that the room was much quieter than usual, and so instead of just chatting with our immediate neighbors, we were able to really talk as a group as well.  It was lovely!  We went around the room once and talked about what kind of needles we use for hand stitching, and then once around again for show and tell.
Now I love to come to the sew-ins with my machine and bust out a ton of sewing, but the chance to hear what everyone has to say and connect as a group was really nice as well.  So here is this month's show and tell; and if you pop over to the Flickr Pool, there are even more pics and in my (JessieAller) photos I tried to have descriptions to share a bit of what each maker said about their project.

Our next event is a hand sewing hangout at the US Botanical Garden (National Garden, 100 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington DC 20001 ) on Saturday, June 1st from 10:30-12:30 after which some of us will probably go out to lunch and then visit a museum in the afternoon.  Hope to see you there!
