April Meeting Show & Tell

The April meeting was at the Westover branch library in Arlington. There was plenty of fun sewing with everyone sharing their quilts, baskets, and minis.  We had a great mix of modern quilts with block designs, improv, and even an abstract cow!

Linda F. @Llfasrn
Fabric: Kaffe and Japanese
Pattern: Olivia Basket

Megan F. @mfasules
Pattern: Cow abstractions, violet craft

Laurie Meyers @laurie3.14
Fabric scraps in a string quilt

Hannah Haberkern @verdigrissewing
Carolyn Freedlander Carkai and Doe, essex yarn, Kona Cottons
Pattern: improvised, loosely inspired by Luke from Carolyn Freedlander
Fun Fact: I was inspired by the prints, which reminded me of archeology.  This is a mini made from leftovers, the main piece isn't yet finished.

Hannah Haberkern @verdigrissewing
Fabric: Leftovers
Pattern: This was my first test run for my block design, that's why it's pretty wonky

Mary Jane Konstantin @greenhouse5835
Fabric: Moda Bella Solids
Pattern: Double Irish Chain
Fun Fact: this is a wedding shower gift

Emily Chua @ Daintykazoo
Fabric: Denim and flannel
Fun Fact: For donation, made in the hospital

Sara Mixter @saramixter
Fabric: Indian Summer by Sarah Watson
Pattern: No pattern, class at Domesticity in Baltimore
Fun Fact: This is my first quilt!  Someday I'll bind it :)

Meg @keepmaking
Fabric: Mix of Art Gallery and Riley Blake
Pattern: Orange Peel from Latifah Saafir 12-in clammy ruler
Fun Fact: The 12-in peels are very forgiving.  They go together fast after you get through the cutting

Diana Owen @dianaeowen
Fabric: Anna Maria Horner
Pattern: Turn it Up
